About Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.

It’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in.

Our case: El Rincon Oaxaqueno

First Steps

El Rincon Oaxaqueño entered the incubator plan in 2020, a twelve-month program that allows entrepreneurs to go from an idea to a real business.

In order to get that done, we helped them through all the process. From the acquisition of the foodtruck, the permits for the authorization for it to operate, applying for a Kiva loan, among others. Also, they were supported in matters of marketing, image, search engine positioning and finances.

Grand Opening

After months of hard work, their dream finally came true. El Rincon Oaxaqueno Grand Opening occured on July 30, 2021.

It was a great success, being the main event the ribbon cutting, as you can see in the photo! There was music from the hand of Mariachi Internacional, surprise prizes, and so much fun!

What's next

El Rincon Oaxaqueno already celebrated its first anniversary. Now, it is time to move forward and bring the business to another level.
