PHDC Notice COVID-19

NOTICE DATE: March 16, 2020

The Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation (PHDC) has been actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) since its spread in Pennsylvania. PHDC is concerned with the impact on clients, members, employees and our community. On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to communicate that the PHDC, being located on the second floor of the Beechview Community Center, which is a city-owned building, will close starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until further notice as ordered by Governor Tom Wolf. Additionally, all PHDC events have been canceled. We are taking the necessary precautions to protect the health and well-being of our employees by suspending all non-essential business travel and face to face meetings.

Starting Tuesday, March 17th, PHDC will be offering services virtually until further notice. We encourage our clients, members, and community to contact us via electronic means at:

Unfortunately, we are at difficult times, we all have been caught by surprise with the COVID-19 virus crisis. PHDC feels it is important to take the necessary preventive measurements to avoid the spread of this virus. We plan to be in contact with other Latino organizations and local government to circulate any information important to our community and to find ways to continue fulfilling our mission during the upcoming weeks.

Thank you and stay safe!
